Shaab Quais is one of the most colorful dive sites in Wadi El Gemal National Park, Marsa Alam. The site features a series of massive coral blocks that rise from the sandy seabed. Each block is covered with vibrant soft and hard corals, creating a healthy reef full of life.
As you explore the reef, you’ll find large schools of snappers, sweetlips, and parrotfish moving between the coral formations. Moray eels often hide in cracks and overhangs, while the sandy bottom hosts colonies of fascinating garden eels that sway gently in the current.
Shaab Quais is also a great dive site for underwater photographers. Small macro creatures can be found throughout the reef, offering plenty of opportunities to spot and photograph the Red Sea’s hidden marine life.
The combination of healthy corals, abundant fish life, and easy diving conditions makes this site suitable for both beginner and experienced divers. Every dive offers something new, from colorful reef scenes to unique marine encounters.
