Shaab Nos

Shaab Nos is one of the most vibrant dive sites in Wadi El Gemal National Park, Marsa Alam. Many divers consider it the heart of the local reef system because of its incredible fish activity and rich marine biodiversity. Large schools of reef fish constantly move around the coral formations, often creating a colorful underwater scene that can temporarily hide the reef itself.

The reef supports a thriving ecosystem and attracts both resident marine life and occasional pelagic visitors. Throughout the dive, you can spot countless reef fish feeding and sheltering among the corals. Resident species include anemonefish, butterflyfish, surgeonfish, snappers, and other colorful Red Sea fish, making the site ideal for marine life enthusiasts and underwater photographers.

In the southern section of the reef, a sandy area hosts a colony of garden eels. These fascinating creatures emerge from the seabed and sway gently with the current, providing a unique photo opportunity and a memorable part of the dive.

The reef is bordered by natural channels to the east and west, creating a varied underwater landscape with excellent habitats for marine life. These channels add interest to the dive and often attract larger fish searching for food along the reef.
