Diver Safety at Shams Diving Center

At Shams Diving Center, the safety and well-being of our divers are our top priorities. Therefore, we provide a secure and enjoyable diving experience through comprehensive safety measures.

Boat & Emergency Safety

• Dedicated Zodiac Support Boat: A zodiac support boat always accompanies all our diving boats. Consequently, our team can ensure safety and provide rapid assistance during your diving adventures.
• Decompression Chamber Access: A decompression chamber is located just 25 km away in Marsa Alam. Therefore, divers have prompt access to essential care during an emergency.
• Emergency Equipment: Our boats are equipped with oxygen supplies. Furthermore, we carry fully stocked first aid kits to respond swiftly to any emergency during dives.
• Regular Equipment Maintenance: We maintain high-quality diving equipment. In addition, we conduct routine safety checks to ensure all gear stays in optimal condition.

Staff & Diver Requirements

• Trained Staff: Our team consists of highly trained and certified professionals. Moreover, all staff members undergo regular training to keep their skills sharp.
• Pre-Dive Safety Briefings: We conduct thorough pre-dive briefings before entering the water. As a result, divers learn about safety protocols, site conditions, and proper equipment usage.
• Check Dives: Divers without recent logged dives must complete a check dive. Likewise, new visitors refresh their skills to boost underwater confidence. This allows us to assess readiness and offer personalized guidance.
• Diver Medical Statement: Divers must present a valid medical statement. Additionally, Egyptian regulations require this certificate to be less than one year old.
• Guided Diving: Certified guides lead divers with fewer than 25 logged dives. Consequently, less experienced divers enjoy extra safety and local marine expertise.
• Diver Insurance: We recommend all guests obtain dive insurance. As a result, divers enjoy added protection and peace of mind.
• Environmental Awareness: We promote responsible diving practices across all trips. At the same time, we protect beautiful marine ecosystems for everyone.
